A Modern Easter Table Scape Holiday Entertaining Tour
Hi friends, and welcome back for another fun Styled + Set Holiday Entertaining Tour hosted by my friend Lory of Designthusiasm!! And a double welcome if you are coming over from my friend Sarah of Life On Virginia Street!! Sarah and I have so many things in common when it comes to decorating that I hope you’ll feel right at home coming over from her blog. She is super talented and I just love everything she does, don’t you? If you missed my first few Styled + Set Tour posts you can find them here, here & here. You can also find last year’s Easter table scape here.
In our home Easter is a time of reflecting on and being grateful for what Christ did for us on the cross over 2000 years ago. If it were not for that one selfless act, none of us would have the ability to accept God’s son as our savior and therefore have entrance into heaven. And for that I am forever thankful and also humbled by Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s endless love for us that He gave His only begotten son so that we may have everlasting life (John 3:16). With that said, I absolutely relish in the opportunity to celebrate this day with the people that are most important in my life.

As you may know by now my table scapes are typically inspired by my flower choices but this time I started with a fresh white linen table cloth for my back drop and then moved on to my flowers and the vessel that I knew would hold them for this special occasion. I started out with some beautiful indigo hydrangeas and white tulips and then at the last minute I added some deep pink tulips to complete my centerpiece. I then added some lilies with a yellow center to line my table and that’s when it all came together perfectly.
Aren’t they stunning? And one of the things I love the most is that my favorite new for spring pot really pops against the white table cloth and colorful flowers.
My next inspiration piece for my table were these beautifully hand painted eggs I found at my local grocery store in the floral department. I had the scalloped Easter egg holders on hand from previous years (similar here & here).
The striped egg was my favorite! You’ll also notice here that I used my everyday white beaded salad plates and mixed them with my everyday gray dinner plates.
I really love the way this particular egg was hand painted as well. I love the irregular pattern of the gold leaf on the bottom of the egg that gives it such a fresh, modern vide. The large beaded white salad plates at the head of the table were a HomeGoods find a while back as well.
I also included my gold flatware along with some new linen napkins I recently found on clearance (I’m a sucker for nice linens, especially when they are on sale).
Along with my black dot vessel for my main centerpiece, I knew these black marble candle holders would work perfectly with my crisp black and white theme. And look at those lilies…aren’t they just gorgeous!?
And last but not least I used my crystal with gold accents (similar here & here). They are our wedding crystal and I just love any opportunity I have for a special occasion to bring them out.
I also gave my bar cabinet (similar here) area a touch of Easter with a simple arrangement of the same flowers that are in my table centerpiece, and of course a sweet little bunny (similar here).
Taking my attention back to the table I have to say this is one of my favorites table scapes to date and I hope you enjoy taking it all in like I have.
You may notice I also pulled my Juju hat into the room for the perfect back drop here. It was borrowed from my bedroom and you can see how I used it in there right here in my recent spring master bedroom tour.
Around to the other side of the table…the flowers really pop against the white table cloth and sunlight gushing through the windows, don’t they?!
I hope you enjoyed my Modern Easter Table Scape today and that you’ll feel inspired to create your own beautiful table this year to celebrate with family and friends the resurrection of our Savior. Please also don’t forget to pin this image for later to help you build & design your own table scape…
